Nutraceutical
In the nutraceutical industry, vitamins, dietary supplements and protein powders are packed in different types of containers. Tablets and capsules may be filled into plastic bottles or jars, while powdered products are usually sold in larger tubs. These packages need labels for ingredients, serving instructions, batch details and traceability information, and the label format must suit the size and shape of the container. Depending on the product, manufacturers may use a full-body sleeve, a self-adhesive wrap-around label or a tamper-evident band around the cap.
- Full-Body Sleeves: Cover more of the container and provide additional space for product graphics, instructions and ingredient information.
- Tamper-Evident Bands: Applied around caps and closures to provide a clear visual indication if the package has been opened.
- Wrap-Around Labels: Commonly used on round bottles and jars for nutrition facts, dosage instructions, warnings and product identification.
The SRL-150 applies either full sleeves or shrink bands to common nutraceutical containers and can be adjusted for different product formats. A single-zone electric shrink tunnel uses dry heat to finish the sleeve or band without a steam supply. Round bottle label applicators provide wrap-around application for nutrition facts, directions and other product information.
